A nursing student at the University of Delaware, Sophia Eick is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Named to the dean’s list every semester, Sophia Eick has achieved a 3.8 GPA and maintains membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

With chapters on more than 300 campuses around the country, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) recognizes high-achieving students and supports them in their pursuit of graduate studies or career opportunities. NSCS operates programs such as the Planning to Achieve Collegiate Excellence (PACE), which guides members in organizing local programs that provide students with vital resources to help them graduate.

More than 20 percent of high school students do not graduate in four years, often due to lack of support and college-preparatory resources. PACE offers one-on-one mentoring, assemblies that address college preparation topics, and a March to College™ Day, where NSCS members host high school students on their college campuses to provide them a glimpse into the daily college experience.
